New Human II:  De-installation Schedule


DAY ONE


8:00a—Tajima Studio arrives on-site

Remember to:

**secure the little black springy pieces w hot glue**
**mark shell placement for orientation on interior**
**add USB hub casing**
**use wood or plastic tools to avoid scratching / damaging the surface**


Materials required for de-installation:

2 folding tables
2 saw horses (for NH2 water test)
2 low stepping stools or platforms / apple boxes (Sense Object de-install)
Bucket (NH2 water tests)
Cloths (removal of sealant on bracket / NH2 water test / cleanup)
4 industrial glass suction cups (Sense Object vitrine de-install)
1 dolly 
Microfoam sheeting
Cut-resistant gloves (Sense Object de-install)
2 levels
Headlamp
Squeegee
Acetone
2 plastic cups
Paper towels
Washi tape
Goo gone (for ferrofluid cleanup on top of elastomer)
Plastic wrap
Gloves
Empty Ferrotec bottles
Drain pump
Table
Strong tape
Funnel
Hot Glue

8:00a - 5:00p—simultaneous to all work, studio takes measurements of electronics / organizes boxes / materials / takes notes and photos / etc

8:30a—set up tables and materials

8:45a—remove current fluoroelastomer and sealant from bracket, upper shell perimeter 

**use wood or plastic tools to avoid scratching / damaging the surface**

Check for any tears and document

**note the way the existing sealant appears on top for handlers who will apply new sealant**
**fluoroelastomer used during exhibition to be shipped back to Tajima Studio for assessment**


9:45—remove current sealant from lower shell perimeter along weld line

10:00-10:15a—break


10:15—(cont) remove current sealant from lower shell perimeter along weld line

11:00a—add white sealant to interior weld line

Tajima Studio to instruct 1 handler to add sealant to interior weld line

 **avoid touching for 90 mins after application of sealant**


11:30—install new gasket and fluoroelastomer 

*assess/may need to wait for sealant to cure*

Handlers required: 2 (1 person underneath shell to ensure alignment, 1 person outside)


12:00-1:00p—lunch


1:00p—(cont) installing new gasket and fluoroelastomer

Estimated time: 1 hour 30 minutes remaining

2:30p—check shell on top of interior components 

Estimated time: 30 mins
Handlers required: 6 

Temporarily install shell onto interior so that Tajima Studio can examine elastomer to ensure elastomer is laying flat

Remove shell and place on sawhorses

**lower slowly onto magnets to ensure they are aligning/level**


3:00-3:15p—break


3:15p— apply white 3M 4200 Marine Grade Sealant underneath along elastomer/shell

**avoid touching for 90 mins after application of sealant**


3:45p—move shell from sawhorses to floor

Estimated time: 15 mins
Handlers required: 3


4:00p—handlers finish applying black 3M 4200 Marine Grade Sealant on top along fluoroelastomer/shell (two areas, one between gasket and full fluoroelastomer sheet, another between gasket and shoulder of shell)

Estimated time: 1 hour

DAY TWO

8:00a—Tajima Studio arrives on-site

8:30a—lift shell onto sawhorses

8:45a—set up for water test

Estimated time: 1 hour

Set up using foam/cardboard template underneath, add water

allow to sit for a minimum of 2 hours, ideally longer


10:00-10:15a—break


10:15a—wrap interior electronics w 3M

Estimated time: 15 minutes
Handlers required: 1


12:00-1:00p—lunch


1:00p—check water test, empty and clean

Estimated time: 30 minutes
Handlers required: 1


1:30p—install shell onto interior

Estimate time: 30 minutes
Handlers required: 5


2:00p—wrap and crate

Estimate time: 30 minutes

DAY THREE

**not anticipated**

Contingency work day if any additional work is required
